Punjab government's decision to set up its own censor board has brought sharp discussion about center and state relationship. The move to bring a strong censor board to control sleazy and vulgarity in Punjabi Pop culture is rather welcome step but this step is stuck between state and center subject.There are some state and center subjects which are clearly defined by the constitution of India. Because of clear cut division of state and center subjects in the Constitution, some sensitive issues are left without even addressing them. Punjabi Pop culture should not be left without addressing because Punjabi Pop culture is not only degrading the Holy Punjabi language but also corrupting the youth mind of Punjab. Every second singer sings about alcohol in Punjabi . Punjab which is food bowl of country is sinking in the ship of alcoholism,therefore Central Board of films certification should consider the proposal of Punjab Government's move to have its own censor board so that good atmosphere can be created in Punjab by producing good songs. It is sad to witness to Hindi film industry miss using Punjabi language in films and carrying some unwanted comedy role on Saradarji. Some roles of CBFC can be liberal in terms of Punjab because Punjab is the only state in India which has its own strong Pop culture in terms of economy. Punjab is not like south India where Film industry is very strong. In place of films, Punjab produces Pop songs on which tune hole nations dance some time. The real meaning of these Pop songs are not understood by general people of India but Punjabi people understand it that is why Punjabi people drink home made alcohol more than anybody because of songs like "Ghar di Sharab howe". There are many songs which infact promote Alcoholism. It is even more hurting to watch vediography of these songs. Punjabi people depend upon Pop culture because Punjab has not got strong Drama or street play culture therefore people of Punjab easily fall in love with Pop culture. It is sad to witness most of the Punjabi singers use language for their personal popularity and earning money. CBFC must understand Internal dynamics of Punjabi culture and impact of Pop culture on people of Punjab. CBFC can even conduct study to know if there is any need to have own censor Board. Problem of sleazy and vulgarity in Punjabi Pop culture has to be addressed by having mutual understating between both state and Board members. Akal Takt is the supreme body and it holy body which was set up by the Gurus themselves. It is holy for all those who follow the words of Guru. If Akal Takt can take care of Gurumukhi by spreading the messages of its holiness then nobody would dare to sing bad songs in Punjabi. Akal Takt can take steps to boycott those singers, writers and artists who use holy language Punjabi for commercial purpose . Akal Takt has the full power to do so because it is doing tremendous work by controlling many issues therefore the every single order of Akal Takt can be followed by every Punjabi singers and writers because every Punjabi is sensitive towards their mother toung. There are many issues are struck in fight between state and center relationship but issues related to language has to be addressed without any ego problem or problem of politics. Languages of human beings are symbols of their culture and tradition. If there is any politics on the language then we will be responsible for ending some ones culture and tradition.
